This should be everyone's primary focus till Reaper of Souls launches. The 50% experience is not worth passing up and, its confirmed that items can only roll stats at the level of the item rather than the level of the character. This makes all but extreme cases of jewelry useless as armor and non percentage based stat rolls are considerably higher at level 70.

Why is there an exp bonus anyway? Just hype for RoS launch or what?

Basically. Could also be to confuse more casual players into thinking the exp rates are going to be higher than they really are.

Events are cool, but they just don't fit Diablo. At all. Maybe randomly occurring multi boss encounters, but even that sounds out of place.

That was my same focus as well. Even reset quests numerous times. Then I learned that basically everything I get now is completely useless with only a few exceptions (like my Ess of Johan with 80% slow [max] and Tal's ammy with 20% Fire and 96CD) That's why I've been running Cathedral Level 4. A Wizard with Frozen Orb can clear the entire level's trash in a few minutes for about 1B exp/hr while solo. A good T6 group can double that.

FO has been my main AP spender recently. I'll have to try Cat4 and see. Been doing Keep2 for some quick exp but I'm open to new runs.

So far I've had decent success with act 1 first quest. When you kill the mothers all the way to the point of old Tristram.

I have actually yet to find a legendary in there, except for the goblin in the ruins basement. At one point I would run CotA, then take the ruins WP, grab the white in Griswold's corner, then check the cellar that can spawn the go Lin and the one that can spawn the cursed chest.

I tried Cat4 and really liked it. I'll probably do that run a bunch. Also ran some high level (T5) runs of CoTA with a friend. That didn't seem as worth it to me. I don't do well beyond like T3.

Use Archon for CotA runs. I run Archon @ 450k+ and have two Arcane bonuses, and that lets me solo T5 CotA within the twenty second timer.

Yeah I was using Archon but I'm just not strong enough for anything above T3 really.

Have you tried crafting weapons? The Hallowed wand and axe are both good, and Griswold's masterpiece is also a great option now that it doesn't guarantee a strength roll.

I don't have those plans. The only weapons I've tried crafting have been swords and daggers. Got close one time with a sword (just lacked DPS) but haven't had any success crafting yet.

Ruinstoke is another good option as well that also has guaranteed LaeK.
