Yeah, there's also quite a few topics popping up with speculations and such on the D3 forums. Like I kind of said over there, it's still too early to say much. None of it is final and we don't know exactly how it's going to interact with paragon2 and loot2.0 so we'll have to wait a bit and see.

I've been watching it. What do you think about the new caps on CC, AS, and CD from gear?

Though I will admit that I am excited about the Crusader having Blessed Hammer Smile

I will admittedly be playing crusader as soon as RoS comes. Then most likely come back to WD/Wiz.

I've chosen to stick with my wizzy for the first few weeks to farm the new content, and will probably pick up crusader after that.

They appear to have already nerfed the Crusader's Blessed Hammer. The newest notes imply that it can no longer pierce enemies.

The most important thing to understand about all of this data-mined info was pointed out on the official forum by mzy. It's all still in development and still being tested. Link here.

Yeah. It's just a little disheartening that they're already looking at removing the pierce since that's basically the only thing that made it as powerful as it was.

Until they removed the "ignores immunity" on it and hammerdins became useless for second wave during baal runs. (;

Yeah. That part always hurt. Thankfully I usually played with a Zealot or Smiter as well.

It'll be interesting to see the dynamic between Crusader and the current classes. Everyone already knows which classes and builds work best together but the addition of a new one will definitely make things more interesting, at least for a little whilte.

Crusader is being designed as a tank. And has a skill that gives a fairly substantial buff to AR. Something like 900 to self and 300 to party for 15 seconds with a 30 second cooldown.

Yeah. Too bad the game design doesn't really allow for true aggro and tanking. It'll definitely be interesting to see how it plays out.

Here it is:
Quote :
Laws of Justice Cooldown: 30 seconds / Active: Empower the Law, granting you and your allies 600 increased resistance to all elements for 5 seconds. / Passive: Recite a Law, increasing you and your allies resistance to all elements by 300. (All Resistance buff down from 900 when Active, blocking gave a chance for 300 more All Resist for 5 seconds on Passive)
Makes me think that level 70 damage is going to be quite high compared to 63, and that most parties will probably rely on a Crusader for the first few weeks till people start to find ilvl 70 gear.

Yeah, but having him (and hopefully a CM) in front will greatly reduce incoming damage.

CM is very likely getting nerfed in some way. Either by directly nerfing the skill or through nerfs such as capping crit chance and attack speed.

Yeah. As it currently stands, maximum breakpoint will now be 2.51 APS (1.79*1.4=2.68<2.73), and with CC capped at 50, freeze will either be a stutter lock, or rely on ETCC from gear to reach current levels of freeze strength. Though there are extra options for CDR now.

Like I said over on the official forum, we don't know how this will all work with paragon2 and loot2.0. We can only speculate.

Yeah. Just saying the current state of their testing leaves it as a workable option, but it's a lot harder to achieve. I basically hope they feel comfortable with it somewhere near what they're currently at, and over look ETCC. At least at first.

Im looking forward to the wizard changes, i've really wanted to do a full Lightning/frost build for quite some time so the news is refreshing. It will be nice to see archon finally go, with a little more variance on build types.

Yeah. Finally having options that don't each require there own gear set will be refreshing.
